Before retirement in 2003, my ministry took place in the Diocese of Huron. From 1990 until 2003 I was Archdeacon of Waterloo.
The last three years I was appointed as “Advisor to the Bishop”.
My last “big” endeavour before retirement was to be co-chair of the Local Arrangements Committee for the Waterloo meeting of the General Synod.
After our move to Victoria in 2004, I was appointed by the Bishop of British Columbia to be “Priest in Charge” of Christ Church Cathedral as the fine people there awaited the appointment of a new dean. This appointment began in the early summer and ended in January of the following year.
My wife Diane and I then moved to Salt Spring Island, where I have been filling in for the rector while he was on vacation over the years.
Then the Rector retired and I then became “Priest in Charge” of The Anglican Parish of Salt Spring Island from November 2008 until July 31, 2009.
The last parish I looked after was St. Peter’s, Lakehill. I was there for 10 months, from November, 2009 until August, 2010.
I have now been retired one more time but am looking forward to being “Priest in Charge” of St Stephen’s Anglican Church, a fine parish within striking distance of my home.
